About Georgia
Georgia was born in China and raised in Hallowell, Maine, alongside her sister, who was born in Vietnam, by their adoptive parents. She graduated from Champlain College in Vermont with a BFA in Filmmaking and a minor in Marketing.
Through both professional and student productions, Georgia has worked across nearly every corner of a film set, including directing, assistant directing, producing, editing, and writing. She is especially passionate about nonprofit work and has provided digital content for organizations such as Ballet Vermont, the local transportation agency CATMA, and currently volunteers her services for the American Red Cross of Northern New England.
As a filmmaker, Georgia is passionate about telling stories that center women in leading roles. During college, she worked as a Senior Technician at the Champlain College rental house, developing strong technical experience and knowledge of film equipment. Additionally, while in college, her team placed in the top 7% internationally for the Digital Marketing Competition hosted by Purdue. She currently works in marketing for Hoang Realty while continuing her creative work independently through GBW Studios.
Outside of filmmaking and marketing, Georgia has been playing the violin since the age of eight, after training in the Suzuki method, and is currently teaching herself guitar. Avid dancer, Georgia considers herself to be undefeated from her short-lived (one competition) figure skating career.
